Step-by-Step Pictures (below):

Adjust the FLEX foot to a sample of your flooring.
Use the 3/16" hex wrench supplied with the nailer.
Loosen the 2 adjustment locking screws -but not too loose.
Adjustment lever should be free to move by hand.
Set the nailer back on your wood sample.
Hold the nailer so that the FLEX foot sits flat on the wood sample
Move the adjustment lever down so the nailer sits on the flooring tongue.
Here, the Nailer sits on the tongue, while the FLEX foot should still be flat on the flooring.
Now adjust the lever up to lift the nailer jsut above the flooring tongue.
The nailer is now above the tongue, and the FLEX foot should still be flat to the flooring.
The final step is to tighten the locking screws which locks in the setting.
Test nail a sample of your wood to ensure the nail is setting correctly.
The nail should be centered and flush in the middle of the nail pocket.
