Replacing the Ratchet Assembly - Model 45R & 101R.
| Replacement of the Ratcheting Assembly. This procedure covers both the Models 45R and 101R Ratcheting Nailers. |

| The ratcheting mechanism allows the plunger to be struck several times to set just one nail. |  |
| To inspect ratcheting mechanism, first remove the two 1/2" screws holding the access plate. |  |
| Remove the ratchet access plate. |  |
| Remove the ratchet assembly. |  |
| Note the pawl on the ratchet faces the inside of the nailer. |  |
| Make certain that the pawl on the new ratchet faces the inside of the nailer. |  |
| Insert the ratchet assembly with pawl facing the plunger head. |  |
| Reinstall the embossed ratchet access plate with raised side facing outward. |  |
| Reinstall the two 1/2" screws to secure the access plate. |  |
