Powernail pneumatic nailers are high-quality tools designed for installing a professional quality floor. With just a little attention to the maintenance of your tool, your Powernailer will operate trouble-free and keep you running with a minimum of down time.
The following video goes over step by step on how to disassemble your Model 50P Powernailer. Disassembly of your nailer may be required in many repair situations such as drive blade assembly replacement or complete seal kit replacement.
Drive Blade Replacement
This video demonstrates how to remove and replace the drive blade in your 50P Series nailer.
All Powernail pneumatic machines have kits for seals, tune up or overhaul to keep your machine operating at its best. This video is universal to all Powernail pneumatic mallet-actuated tools and provides instructions on how to replace all the seals.
Nail Channel Rebuild (Rear Load)
Disassembly and rebuild for the 50P Series rear-load nail channels with R1 steel foot, gate and gate plate. Note: This nail channel configuration has since been revised and some parts have been discontinued. The following video goes over step by step on how to reassemble your Model 50P series nailer. Before reassembling the nailer, you want to inspect several key areas of the nailer body including the inner ledge and plunger surface.
R2 Foot Installation
As of July 2016, Powernail has revised the Gate, Gate Plate, and Steel Foot on all 50P Series nailers making it easier to clear the path of the drive blade in case of a nail jam. See Technical Bulletin #8
If your nailer is currently equipped with a version 1 Gate, Gate Plate, and Steel Foot setup and you would like to upgrade to the latest R2 version, you can purchase the kit from our webstore.

Nail Channel Assembly (Top Load)
As of September 2017, Powernail has revised the nail channel in the 50P Series nailers. The revised top loading nail channel assembly will fit all 50P models. These revisions make the Powernail 50P nailers easier to use, along with reliable performance. See Tech Bulletin #12
