Patent Infringement Resolved
[March 17th, 2014] Lake Zurich, Illinois – Powernail Company, Inc., the premier manufacturer of pneumatic nailers and flooring cleats used in the installation of tongue & groove hardwood flooring and sub-flooring since 1947, announced today that it has resolved its patent infringement dispute under U.S. Patent No. 8,186,554 with Prime Global Products. As part of the resolution, Prime Global has agreed to cease manufacturing and selling in the U.S. its “Freeman Mini Palm Cleat Flooring Nailer Model No. PMPCN” and Powernail has agreed to release Prime Global’s customers of such product, both direct and downstream, from claims relating to Powernail’s patent for pre-Agreement sales. There were no admissions of liability by any party. Powernail will continue to distribute its patented Power Palm™ pneumatic nailer through various retailers and on-line.
