NWFA Technical Education 2013 Schedule

The NWFA's technical education assists wood flooring professionals in advancing their skills and expertise in all aspects of wood flooring installation.

For 2013, NWFA will present a series of one-day workshops in a variety of locations. You can choose to attend the workshops that best fit your needs. Choose to attend one, two, or all six - this model lets you customize your learning.

The workshops offered during 2013 are:

Moisture Identification/Mitigation reviews moisture control systems for concrete and wood subfloors.  Learn techniques for moisture testing of concrete and wood subfloors while identifying and solving moisture problems.  

Subfloor Preparation provides hands-on training for subfloor preparation on both concrete and wood.

Method of Installation sharpens your installation skills, including job site evaluation and preparation, installation techniques, safety, custom design procedures, and medallion demonstrations.

Factory Finish Repair and Recoat covers finishing techniques including the repair and recoat of existing floors, board replacement and hand scraping.  

Method of Sand & Finish improves your sanding and finishing skills with hands-on sanding and finishing of custom floors.

Field Equipment Repair covers the care and maintenance of field equipment. Learn the basics of diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and on-site repair, especially when your machine quits on the job.
